Chia Cheers: Our Favorite Holiday Recipes

'Tis the season to indulge in winter flavors, and what better way to celebrate than by incorporating the tiny but mighty chia seed into all your holiday recipes? From cozy breakfast treats to decadent desserts, we've collected some of our favorite recipes powered by chia that can elevate your festive feasts and make this holiday season a celebration of both flavor and wellness. Let's unwrap the magic of chia and infuse your kitchen with the spirit of holiday chia-cheer!

 

Dark Chocolate Peppermint Chia Pudding⁠ 🍫

 

Ingredients: ⁠

- 1 bag Mamma Chia Organic Dark Chocolate Chia Pudding Mix

- 2½ cups milk of choice ⁠

- 1 cup granulated sugar

- ½ cup water

- 1 teaspoon peppermint extract

- Whipped cream (optional)

- Peppermint candy cane (optional)

- Dark chocolate shavings (optional) 

  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine granulated sugar, water and peppermint extract and bring to a soft boil, cooking and stirring until the sugar is dissolved. Then transfer the mixture to a glass bowl to cool to room temperature and store in the fridge.
  2. To prepare the chia pudding, whisk the Chia Pudding Mix, milk of choice and peppermint simple syrup together and refrigerate overnight.
  3. Before enjoying, we suggest topping with whipped cream, dark chocolate shavings, and crushed peppermint!

 

Holi-date Breakfast Cookies 🍪

 

Ingredients: ⁠

- 2 tbsp Mamma Chia Organic Chia Seeds⁠

- 1 tbsp D’Vash Date Syrup⁠

- 1 tsp vanilla⁠

- ½ tsp baking soda⁠

- 1 tsp salt⁠

- 2 eggs⁠

- 1 cup oats⁠

- 1 cup flour⁠

- 1 cup D’Vash Date Sugar⁠

- ⅓ cup almond milk⁠

- ½ crushed pecans⁠

  1. Mix date syrup, vanilla, baking soda, and eggs until well mixed.
  2. In another bowl, mix together your oats, flour, date sugar, and organic chia seeds.
  3. Mix dry and wet ingredients together and add your ⅓ cup almond milk until well mixed.
  4. Spoon dough on to a baking sheet and bake at 350 for 12-14 minutes or until golden brown.
  5. Let cool and enjoy!⁠

 

Eggnog Chia Pudding 🥛⁠ 

 

Ingredients:⁠

- 2 cups plant-based "eggnog" (we used Califia Farms Holiday Nog Almondmilk)⁠

- ½ cup Mamma Chia Organic White Chia Seeds⁠ (Black Chia Seeds work just as well!)

- Dash of cinnamon

- Cinnamon sticks⁠ (optional)

  1. Combine “eggnog”, chia seeds, and a dash of cinnamon in a bowl and stir well⁠.⁠
  2. Refrigerate the mixture for 4 hours or overnight⁠ for best results.
  3. Remove the chia pudding from fridge and stir well. Add your toppings and enjoy!⁠

 

Holiday Chia Cherry Greek Yogurt Bark 🍒⁠

 

Ingredients:⁠

- ¼ cup Mamma Chia Organic Chia Seeds⁠

- 2 cups Greek yogurt or plant-based yogurt⁠ (we recommend a black cherry flavor)

- ½ cup strawberries⁠

- ½ cup blueberries⁠

- ½ cup granola

- ¼ cup dark and white chocolate chips⁠

- Chocolate syrup drizzle⁠

  1. Spread the yogurt thinly on parchment paper.
  2. Top with fruit, chia seeds, granola and chocolate.
  3. Freeze for at least three hours.
  4. When ready to enjoy, remove from freezer and break bark into pieces.

 

Festive Chia Pudding 🎄

 

Ingredients:⁠

- ¼ cup Mamma Chia Organic Chia Seeds⁠

- 1 packet Go Ultima Collagen + Electrolytes Mix ⁠

- 1 cup plant-based milk of choice ⁠

- ¼ cup pomegranate seeds

- Coconut whip or coconut yogurt

- Crushed almonds 

  1. Combine milk, chia seeds, collagen powder and pomegranate seeds in a bowel and stir well.
  2. Refrigerate the mixture for 4 hours of overnight for best results.
  3. When ready to enjoy, top with coconut whip or coconut yogurt, crushed almonds and more pomegranate seeds!

 

Apple Pie Chia Pudding 🥧

 

⁠Ingredients: ⁠

- 6 tbsp Mamma Chia Organic Chia Seeds⁠
- ½ scoop vanilla protein⁠
- Dash of Apple Pie Spice⁠
- ¼ cup chopped apple⁠
- 1 chopped pitted medjool date⁠
- Splash of maple syrup or honey
- ½ to ¾ cup milk of choice⁠

  1. Combine all ingredients, stir and cover with plastic wrap.
  2. Place in the fridge for at least 20 mins or until the chia seeds have absorbed most of the liquid.
  3. Top with additional chopped apple and dates and enjoy!
